Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at I-20 and US 80 in Kaufman County, TX on May 26th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:43 p.m. According to investigators, an 18-wheeler headed eastbound on US 80 collided with a Ford Edge. Police allege the SUV had been headed westbound prior to turning into the path of the truck. A passenger of the Ford, identified as 82-year-old Joann McLean, died at the scene. The driver, identified as 56-year-old Dana Frost, was hospitalized with injuries believed to be serious in nature. Police did not disclose additional information.
