Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at State Hwy 146 in Texas City, TX on April 3rd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 1:13 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Tundra operated by 66-year-old  John Cochrane III was allegedly headed southbound on North State Hwy 146. The vehicle is said to have veered from the road into a shoulder, hitting railroad tracks. The vehicle is said to have traveled airborne before landing and overturning. The vehicle is said to have overturning into a barbed wire fence before coming to rest. Cochrane was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from.
