What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured at least two people at State Hwy 6 in Houston, TX on March 13th, 2022. Police say a motorcycle operated by 34-year-old Johnathan Vela and a Ford F-150 operated by a 41-year-old Cypress man were both headed northbound on State Hwy 6. Investigators say Vela alleges the motorcycle was cut off by the Ford by performing an unsafe lane change. The motorcycle collided with the rear of the Ford F-150, causing serious injuries to Vela and his 31-year-old passenger. The Ford driver was not injured and records indicate he was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
