Police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that injured at least one person involved at County Rd 300 in Loving County, TX on August 28th, 2024. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer headed northbound on County Rd 300 is alleged to have failed to control its speed as it approached stopped traffic ahead. Reports claim the truck collided with the rear of a GMC Sierra, creating a chain reaction crash that pushed the GMC into a Ford F-150 ahead of it and that vehicle into an additional tractor-trailer. Police say 53-year-old GMC operator, Jon Campbell, was seriously injured. The driver of the first northbound tractor-trailer, who was not publicly identified, allegedly had minor injuries.
