Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at Stonebridge Dr in McKinney, TX on July 28th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:07 p.m. According to investigators, a BMW 5 Series operated by a 36-year-old Anna man was headed eastbound on University in a turn lane when it failed to turn right and went over a center median, colliding with a Kia stopped in a left turn lane. The driver of the Kia, identified as 51-year-old Jonathan Ferrell, suffered fatal injuries in the collision. A passenger, identified as 51-year-old Kristina Ferrell, was evaluated for possible injuries. The driver of the BMW was seriously injured. Additional information was not immediately available.
