Plano Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at Preston Rd in Plano, TX on July 13th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:44 p.m. Investigators allege an Infinit Q50 collided with the rear of a Toyota Rav4. Following the initial collision, officials say the vehicle left the road while attempting to correct itself before crashing into a tree. The impact caused the vehicle to catch fire and, despite efforts made by witnesses to help free the driver, 52-year-old Jonathan Patton, he was unable to exit the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries.
