What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that killed two men at US 385 in Ector County, TX on March 4th, 2025. Police say the incident happened around 11:30 p.m. Officials say a Ford Explorer headed northbound in southbound lanes collided with a southbound Chevrolet Malibu. Officials say the drive of the Malibu, identified as 20-year-old Emerald Noemi Carta and the driver of the Ford, identified as 33-year-old Jose C. Balderas Contreras, were fatally injured. Authorities did not have additional information available.
