What Happened

Odessa Police are investigating a crash that killed a driver at 42nd and Golden in Odessa, TX on August 18th, 2023. Police say the incident happened as an eastbound Nissan Altima allegedly ran a stop sign. Police say that Altima collided with a second Altima headed northbound on Golden. The driver of the northbound Altima, identified as 83-year-old Jose Delao, was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. A passenger from the same vehicle was also hospitalized with suspected serious injuries. Additional information was not available.
