Police are investigating a crash that killed one person at FM 969 in Travis County, TX on August 7th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 7 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Equinox headed eastbound is alleged to have veered out of its lane and crossed into oncoming traffic. As a result, reports say the vehicle collided with a westbound Chevrolet Tahoe, the impact sending the Tahoe into a Honda Fit. The collision left 51-year-old Tahoe operator, Joseph Lopez, fatally injured. The driver of the Chevrolet had minor injuries, reports say, and was not publicly identified.
