What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-20 in Ector County, TX on August 10th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 1:22 p.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 50-year-old Jackson, MS man was headed north on I-20 when it failed to control its speed and collided with the rear of a GMC Sierra operated by 54-year-old Juan Alfredo Rubio. The Sierra was pushed into the tractor-trailer ahead and Rubio suffered minor injuries. The other drivers involved were not injured and the Jackson man was charged with Failure to Control Speed.
