What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at I-10 in Culberson County, TX on November 28th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 4 p.m. Investigators are saying that a total of seven vehicles, including multiple big rig trucks, collided in a chain reaction collision. Investigators believe a tractor-trailer operated by 63-year-old Juan Lopez Martinez failed to yield to slowed traffic and collided with the rear of a vehicle to created the chain reaction. He suffered fatal injuries in the collision while seven others were hospitalized with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening. Among those injured were Tammy Pachuilo, Keith Pachuilo, Daniel Minjarez Sianez and Isayania Hernandez Casillas.
