What Happened

Area authorities have identified the person killed in a crash at US 84 in Lawn, TX on October 2nd, 2022. Officials say the incident happened when a Dodge pickup truck operated by 75-year-old Juan Lucio Torres stopped in a southbound lane of travel for unknown reasons. Investigators say the truck did not have its lights active and the area with poorly lit before the truck was struck by an approaching Mercury MKS operated by 35-year-old Brittany Esquivel.
