What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed three people at FM 722 near Dumas, TX on July 15th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 1:30 p.m. According to investigators, an Acura RST veered into a southbound lane and collided with a Ford F-150. Both vehicles caught fire in the crash, causing fatal injuries the the Acura driver, identified as 50-year-old Judy McGuire. Two passengers in the Acura, ages 8 and 12, also died. The driver of the Ford, identified as 59-year-old Martin Valdez, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Additional information was not available.
