Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at Hwy 302 in Winkler County, TX on January 27th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7:40 a.m. A semi-truck operated by 30-year-old Julian Espino-Mendoza was traveling eastbound on Hwy 302 when a sand hauler reportedly pulled out in front of the vehicle causing both to collided. Espino-Mendoza suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Investigators say the weather conditions were foggy at the time of the crash. Additional information was not immediately available.
