Authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at US 287 in Houston County, TX on June 1st, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 5:48 p.m. According to investigators, a Subaru Crosstrek was southwest on US 287 before losing control at a curve in the road. The vehicle is said to have veered from the road, striking a trash can and traveling through a ditch into a sign. The impact is said to have caused the vehicle to overturned at an embankment, landing and striking a group of trees. Sources indicate 45-year-old passenger, Julie Gray, was seriously injured. The driver, who was not publicly identified, allegedly suffered less serious injuries and was allegedly charged with Intoxication Assault.
