Authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at Grape Creek Rd in Tom Green County, TX on May 12th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 2:30 a.m. According to investigators, a Polaris Sportsman was southbound on Grape Creek Rd before stroking the fort left of a Cadillac CTS making a turn into a gas station parking lot. Authorities say 22-year-old Polaris passenger, Kairo De La Torre, was ejected from the vehicle in the impact and suffered fatal injuries. The driver, age 22 and not publicly identified, had injuries considered to be non-life-threatening in nature and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Reckless Driving.
