What Happened

Officials are investigating a three-vehicle crash that injured several people at East End Blvd in Marshall, TX on July 31st, 2024. Police are saying the incident happened around 7:09 p.m. According to investigators, a Honda Accord headed northbound on US 59 is alleged to have run a red light at the intersection with Hwy 80. There, reports say the vehicle collided with a Chevrolet Equinox entering into the intersection. Following the initial collision, reports say the impact caused the Equinox to strike a Toyota Tacoma in an adjacent lane. Reports indicate the driver of the Equinox, identified as 31-year-old Kambrika Smith, had non-life-threatening injuries. Two child passengers had possible, unconfirmed injuries, as did 34-year-old Tacoma operator, Nicholas Brown. The driver of the Honda, identified as 23-year-old Isaiah Nixon, was allegedly seriously injured and cited for Ran Red Light. Additional information was not available.
