Police are investigating a crash that injured a man at President George Bush Turnpike in Carrollton, TX on August 19th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 11:38 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford Fusion headed westbound on the turnpike is said to have failed to control its speed while performing a lane change. Reports say the vehicle collided with the rear of a Chevrolet Equinox, sending the vehicle traveling across multiple lanes of travel into a concrete barrier. Authorities say the 66-year-old Kannapolis man operating the Chevrolet was seriously injured in the crash. The other driver was allegedly uninjured and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
