Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed a driver at Bamwood Dr in Harris County, TX on May 7th, 2022. Police are saying it happened around 4:34 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Camry operated by 29-year-old Karl Batiste was reportedly headed northbound on Bamwood at an alleged high rate of speed when it veered from the road. It stuck a fence and a beam connected to the fence impacted the windshield and caused serious injuries for Batiste. Batiste, whose 59-year-old injured passenger, Marie Reza, alleges was consuming alcohol prior to driving, was hospitalized with injuries he died from.
