Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at Refuge Rd in Grayson County, TX on May 27th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:41 a.m. According to investigators, Chevrolet Trailblazer operated by a 21-year-old male had been headed westbound on Refuge Rd before veering from a curve in the roadway. The vehicle struck a guardrail, causing it to overturn into a bar ditch. A passenger in vehicle, identified as 20-year-old Kate Shaffer, was seriously injured. Police say the driver was also seriously injured. Authorities have recommended and/or issued charges that include Aggravated Assault W/Deadly Weapon, Reckless Driving and Driving While Intoxicated.
