State Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at Loop 485 in Gladewater, TX on August 23rd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7:21 a.m. According to investigators, a Kia Soul operated by 68-year-old Kathrine Gipson Dickens  allegedly failed to yield right of way to oncoming traffic as it pulled out of a parking lot. The vehicle attempted to turn left and collided with a northbound tractor-trailer operated by a 50-year-old Bullard man. Dickens was taken to an area hospital with injuries she later died from. The other driver was uninjured. Additional information was not available.
