Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 64 in Van Zandt County, TX on January 23rd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:06 a.m. A Honda Accord operated by 21-year-old Kayla Phillips was headed southbound when it veered from the road at a curve into a barrow ditch. It then struck a road sign and concrete culvert, causing serious injuries to Phillips. Records indicate a DWI charge was recommended and/or issued.
