What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials have identified the person killed in a crash on I-20 near Hallsville, TX on February 15th, 2022. They say the incident happened around 8:40 p.m. Initial investigation suggests an SUV was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed on the westbound side of I-20 when it performed a lane change. Police say the vehicle had previously been weaving between lanes before the lane change and once performed, it collided with the rear of a tractor-trailer.
