Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at I-10 in Colorado County, TX on July2 5th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 3:04 a.m. According to investigators, a Honda Fit operated by 39-year-old Kimberly Jackson was allegedly headed eastbound in westbound lane, approaching a westbound tractor-trailer. Officials further allege the truck veered left in an effort to avoid a head-on collision before the Honda also veered left. The vehicles collided head-on, the impact pushing the vehicles into a nearby cable barrier. The crash left Jackson with fatal injuries while the truck operator, a 40-year-old male who was not publicly identified, was allegedly uninjured. Additional details were not available.
