What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a pedestrian at Junction Boys Rd in Brazos County, TX on August 14th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:45 p.m. Investigators say a commercial truck operated by a 59-year-old man was headed eastbound before stopping at a stop sign in order to make a left turn onto North Dowling Road. Officials say as this was happening, a 22-year-old utility worker was on the ground installing a utility rope and as the truck turned, the truck became tangled onto the rope and struck pulled it across a utility pole. The incident left the pedestrian with injuries believed to be serious in nature. Additional information was not immediately available.
