What Happened

Midlothian Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that killed two people at US 287 in Midlothian, TX on November 26th, 2023. Police are saying the incident happened just after midnight. Officials allege a northbound vehicle traveling in the southbound lanes of US 287 collided head-on with a second vehicle. The driver of the wrong-way vehicle, identified as 38-year-old Lakeshia Savala, was killed. Also killed was a passenger in one of the vehicles, identified as 38-year-old Joanna Cain. Reports say the other driver and an additional passenger were both hospitalized with serious injuries. Authorities had no additional information available.
