Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at FM 2102 in Hunt County, TX on May 29th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:44 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Malibu, allegedly operated by 53-year-old Laverne Woods, was headed westbound on FM 2101 at the time. The vehicle is believed to have lost control while taking a curve in the road before traveling into a ditch. The vehicle collided with a tree before spinning backwards and hitting a fence. Woods was seriously injured in the crash and died several days later. Authorities did not have additional information to share.
