Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at State Hwy 56 in Whitesboro, TX on January 28th. 2024. Police say the incident happened around 9:21 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford Explorer was southbound on Mulberry St before allegedly failing to yield at the intersection with Main St. The vehicle collided with the rear of a Jeep, the crash leaving 63-year-old passenger, Lavonia Crockett, with serious injuries. The drivers of both vehicles were allegedly uninjured. Sources indicate an Intoxication Assault charge was recommended and/or issued against the driver of the Ford.
