What Happened

Police in Bosque County, TX, are investigating a crash that happened on March 12, 2025, around 12:00 a.m. at  FM 1713. Reports say a Chevrolet Suburban attempted an unsafe left pass and collided with a GMC Canyon. The 38-year-old driver of the Suburban, who was unrestrained and had allegedly been drinking, was ejected and sustained fatal injuries. The 19-year-old driver of the GMC, identified as Layton Rocha, suffered suspected serious injuries, while a 19-year-old passenger in the GMC was allegedly uninjured. Alcohol use and improper passing were identified as contributing factors.
