Texas Department of Public Safety officials have information on a crash that killed a driver at State Hwy 302 and FM 866 in Ector County, TX on October 3rd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 3:37 p.m. A semi-truck operated by 52-year-old Leosbel Hernandez Fonseca was headed eastbound on TX 302 when a southbound truck on FM 866 failed to yield at the intersection and collided with Fonseca's truck. Fonseca suffered fatal injuries in the collision while the other driver, a 36-year-old Miami, FL man, was not injured. Police issued the driver a charge for Failure to Yield Row at Open Intersection.
