Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at Victoria Rd in Hidalgo County, TX on March 31st, 2022. Police are saying the incident happened around 6:52 p.m. According to investigators, a Honda Accord operated by 76-year-old Lillian Scherman was headed northbound on Victoria Rd before turning left into a business lot, turning into the path of oncoming traffic. The vehicle collided with a Chevrolet Impala operated by 51-year-0ld Angelita Gonzales, leaving Sherman with fatal injuries. Gonzales was seriously injured. Additional information was not available.
