What Happened

Odessa Police are investigating a crash that killed two people at East 42nd St in Odessa, TX on December 10th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 1:15 a.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Charger operated by 19-year-old Jose Ramirez was reportedly speeding before it lost control. Upon losing control, it struck a vehicle operated by 23-year-old Linda Hernandez. Hernandez was taken to an area hospital with injuries that were declared fatal. A passenger in the Dodge, 20-year-old John Escontrias, died at the scene. Ramirez was arrested on a charge of two counts of Intoxication Manslaughter.
