Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at Katy Fort Bend Rd in Harris County, TX on June 5th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-150 operated by 27-year-old Rachel Kennedy was headed southbound on Katy Fort Bend Rd, in the process of turning east onto Morton Ranch Rd. The vehicle is alleged to have failed to yield to a northbound Chevrolet Silverado operated by 75-year-old James Sampson, the two vehicles colliding as a result. The collision caused serious injuries to a passenger in the Silverado, identified as 72-year-old Linda Sampson, and less serious injuries for the driver. Kennedy was reportedly uninjured and officers recommended and/or issued a Failure to Yield Right of Way Turning Left charge.
