What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a woman at US 62 in Lubbock, TX on June 14th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 11:32 p.m. Reports indicate a Chevrolet Silverado was westbound  on Idalou Rd before proceeding through the intersection with US 62, allegedly with a yellow light. The vehicle is said to have collided with a Ford Escape turning northbound at Martin Luther King Jr. Authorities say the impact left the driver of Ford was seriously injured while the Chevrolet operator was allegedly uninjured. Sources indicate an Intoxication Assault charge was recommended and/or issued against the driver of the Chevrolet.
