Police say the incident happened around 5:30 a.m. Investigators are saying a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 20-year-old Luis Briones Vasquez was westbound on US 82 before leaving the roadway for unclear reasons. Reports indicate the vehicle lost control during attempts to correct back onto the roadway, instead traveling into a center median.
