What Happened

Authorities have information on a crash that injured a driver at County Rd 4504 in Cherokee County, TX on July 30th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10 p.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Titan was eastbound on County Rd 4504 at the time. They say the vehicle was reaching the top of a hill crest and may have traveled airborne in the process before veering from the road towards the north side. The vehicle is believed to have gone into a spin before overturning several times across the south side of the road. The vehicle landed in an embankment before coming to rest. Authorities say the driver was 32-year-old Luis Suarez and believe he sustained serious injuries in the crash. He was taken via helicopter to an area hospital for treatment.
