Area authorities have information on a crash that injured a driver at US 281 in Erath County, TX on September 28th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:20 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado C3500 operated by 45-year-old Trent Peterson was headed southbound on US 281. Police say the vehicle traveled over a dip in the road that caused its attached trailer to lose a tire. The tire traveled into a northbound lane and struck the front of a Chevrolet Equinox, causing it lose control and veer into a Ford Mustang operated by 24-year-old Makenzi Zachry, who was seriously injured. The driver and passenger of the Equinox were also seriously injured. Peterson was not injured. Additional information was not available.
