What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials have identified the person killed in a crash at I-10 in Fayette County, TX on August 6th, 2021. Police say it happened around 8:42 p.m. A motorcycle operated by 31-year-old Mallory Brooke Baskins was headed eastbound on I-10 in an inside lane when an SUV in an outside lane made an unsafe lane change. The motorcycle took evasive action to avoid a collision and lost control, veering from the road into a center median and flipping over. The SUV continued driving and did not stop. Baskins suffered fatal injuries as a result of the incident.
