What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 102 and US 59 in Wharton, TX on August 10th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 6:29 a.m. A commercial truck operated by a 59-year-old Dubberly, LA man was going east on FM 102 when it failed to yield during a left turn and collided with a Chevrolet truck operated by a 69-year-old Wharton man. The Wharton man suffered minor injuries. The Dubberly man was not injured and was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way Turning Left.
