What Happened

Authorities are investigating following a pedestrian crash at US 59 and Lauder Rd in Houston, TX on March 18th, 2024. Officials are saying the incident happened around 8:38 p.m. According to investigators, a trailer became detached from a vehicle, resulting in the victim, a 40-year-old man who was not publicly identified, to exit their vehicle to help with reattachment. While doing so, reports say another vehicle allegedly failed to control its speed and struck another vehicle, which pushed that vehicle into the pedestrian. The man was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries, reports say. Additional information was not available.
