What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at State Hwy 115 and FM 181 in Andrews County, TX on November 30th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 6:39 a.m. A Ford F-250 operated by an unidentified 24-year-old Midland man was headed eastbound on Hwy 115. Meanwhile, authorities say a tractor-trailer was headed southbound approaching the intersection with FM 181. Investigators believe the tractor-trailer failed to yield at the intersection and collided with the Ford truck. The Midland man inside the Ford truck was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt and suffered fatal injuries in the collision. The other driver was not injured. Reports indicate a charge of Failure to Yield Right of Way at Stop Intersection was recommended and/or issued.
