Authorities are investigating a crash that killed in a crash at US 290 and County Rd 226 in Giddings, TX on July 17th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 10:41 a.m. According to investigators, a commercial truck traveling westbound on US Hwy 290 is alleged to have begun drift out, crossing multiple eastbound lanes of travel. Authorities say the vehicle left the roadway before crashing into a tree. Reports indicate a 35-year-old passenger in the vehicle was fatally injured while the 25-year-old driver was allegedly seriously injured.
