What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a man at US 84 in Lubbock County, TX on May 24th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:35 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by a 48-year-old man was headed eastbound on US 84 when it reportedly lost control on rain slick roads. It then began to hydroplane before losing control and veering from the road. It went into a skid and into a ditch before rolling over and ejecting the driver. The driver suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
