What Happened

San Angelo Police are investigating a crash that killed a woman at Lake Nasworthy in San Angelo, TX on February 20th, 2022. They say they were called to the scene around 9:41 p.m. regarding and accident involving a Nissan Titan and white pickup truck. The vehicles were partially submerged in the lake when officials arrived and it was discovered an occupant of the Nissan was unable to exit the vehicle. Identified as 45-year-old Mandy Lowry, she suffered fatal injuries. Investigators believe the Nissan had been headed southbound before it veered from the road and struck the unoccupied pickup truck before both vehicles traveled down an embankment into the lake.
