What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at Hwy 80 in White Oak, TX on February 6th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:16 a.m. According to investigators, a Chrysler  PT Cruiser operated by 21-year-old Daniel Ray Copeland was headed westbound at an alleged high rate of speed as it entered a slight curve and lost control. The vehicle is said to have veered from the side of the road and struck a mailbox and five parked vehicles. Copeland and his passenger, 22-year-old Marissa Wallace, suffered serious injuries.
