Texas Department of Public Safety officials have information on a crash that injured a driver at FM 2221 in Hidalgo County, TX on September 12th, 2021. Officials say it happened around 2:31 a.m. A Nissan Versa operated by a 31-year-old Mission, TX man is said to have failed to control its speed while headed westbound and collided with the rear of a Chevrolet Cruze operated by 20-year-old Mark Anthony Moreno. Moreno suffered serious injuries and was issued a charge of Driving While Intoxicated. The Mission man was evaluated for possible injuries and charged with Intoxication Assault.
