Police are investigating a crash that injured several people at Box Rd in Gun Barrel City, TX on September 6th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 8:57 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado headed westbound on Box Rd is alleged to have veered from the road and lost control while attempting to return to the road. The vehicle is said to have veered into an eastbound lane before colliding head-on with a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Police say 65-year-old Jeep operator, Mark Rhys, was seriously injured. 65-year-old passenger, Carolynne Rhys, was also seriously injured. Reports further say a 7-year-old passenger and the 31-year-old driver of the Silverado were also seriously injured. Additional information was not available.
