Authorities are investigating a collision that injured two people at FM 565 in Chambers County, TX on May 19th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 9:30 a.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Challenger was southbound on FM 565 before allegedly running a red light and colliding with an eastbound Kia Forte. Authorities say the driver of the Kia, who was not publicly identified, had non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger, identified as 40-year-old Mary Lara, was more seriously injured, reports say. The other driver and a child passenger had possible, unconfirmed injuries and was allegedly cited for Disregarding Red Traffic Light.
