What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Walton Walker Blvd and Shady Grove Rd in Irving, TX on June 18th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 8:54 a.m. A Ford F-150 operated by 26-year-old Maurice Giles reportedly slowed down for unknown reasons and the tractor-trailer behind failed to control its speed and struck the tractor-trailer in front of it. The impact then crashed into the Ford, causing Giles to suffer minor injuries. The first tractor-trailer left the scene prior to police arrival.
