What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at I-30 in Dallas, TX on November 5th, 2022. Police are saying the incident happened around 8:43 p.m. According to investigators, a GMC Yukon operated by 47-year-old Efren Soto was headed northbound on Westmoreland Rd before is allegedly ran a red light and collided with a Ford F-250 at the intersection with Westmoreland Rd. The collision left the driver of the Ford seriously injured as well as a passenger, 35-year-old Mayra Covarrubias and a 3-year-old passenger, with minor injuries. The driver of a Toyota Camry that was also involved in the crash, 29-year-old Christian Kotas, had minor injuries as well. Soto is said to have been seriously injured.
